Racism against Liberians ignored by authorities – says report

A report compiled by the Dutch Institute for Multi-Cultural Development has revealed that for about a year and a half, the authorities in the town of Waspik ignored a large number of complaints about racist intimidation of a Liberian family living in the town. A Liberian mother and her four children (names withheld) were forced to leave the town after constant threats. The Dutch institute has submitted its report to the Dutch Minister of Immigration Ella Vogelaar.

Blah, Musa To Testify Against Taylor In The Hague

Former Liberian President Moses Z. Blah has announced in Monrovia that he has been subpoenaed by the Sierra Leonean War Crime Court based in the Hague to testify in the ongoing trial against his former boss Charles Taylor.

Massive Liberian repatriation from Ghana

27,000 Liberians to go home

All 26,967 Liberian refugees resident in the country are to be repatriated to Liberia by the Government of Ghana for them to help to rebuild their country.

The repatriation exercise, which will be sponsored by the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR), is expected to start after Friday, April 4, 2008.

The Liberian Association Holland (LAH) announces with deep regrets the death of a sister, aunt, niece and a mother - Mrs. Mia Gongbeh.
This sad event occurred on Wednessday March 26, 2008 in Hoorn, The Netherlands.

FUNERAL SERVICE: April 1, 2008
Place: Iglesia Kristu Viene Church. - Keern 33A, 1624 NB, Hoorn.

INTERMENT:
10:00 Removal of the body from the funeral parlor to the church
10:30- 11:30 Paying last respect (viewing of the body)
11:30- 12:30 Church Service
12:30 Escoting the body to the cementary
